Alan            Adventures At The Beach
                                     
My name is Alan.
Every year my uncle comes on Thanksgiving Day.
We have fun and my Grandma comes and plays with me and my baby brother.
We go to my Dad's house and his house has a big room where I play.
My Dad's house is fun.
I hear the TV in the living room.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
My dad was mad.
Everybody was mad!
We went to the park, but all the ovens were taken.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First I got wood and I put it in the sand.
Then I got matches and I made a fire.
After that I got the turkey and put it on the fire.
Finally I started to make the turkey and it was ready.
I made sure the temperature was two hundred fifty-one degrees and I cooked
the turkey for fifty hours.  Before cooking I added chili, chili sauce and
more sauce and bread.
I served the turkey with yellow cheese burgers, fresh soda, tomatoes, lemons
and corn.  The turkey smelled good, looked brown and tasted delicious.

Alex                 How I Saved Thanksgiving

Every year we have Thanksgiving at the Trailer Park Place.
My Grandma comes and she takes me to the beach place.
My mom comes and she takes me to the pool place.
My Grandpa comes and he drives.
At the Trailer Park Place it was loud and it smelled like fish.
I saw the chef making the food.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
My Grandpa remembered he had some tools in the motor home.
He tried to fix it, but it did not work.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First I went to the pet store and got a fire breathing flying fox.
Next I got a long rope and tied it on its legs.
Then I put a stick in the turkey. After that
I told him to breathe fire.
Finally I cooked the turkey.
I made sure the temperature was one thousand degrees and I cooked the turkey
for fifteen hours.
Before cooking I added pepper, salt and stuffing.  I served the turkey with
bread, soup, spaghetti and punch.  The turkey smelled like pepper and looked
like chicken and tasted good.

My name is Ashley.
On Thanksgiving Day I play with my brother.
We watch TV.
I play with my dog.
I eat chips and crackers.
On Thanksgiving Day I can smell the turkey cooking.
My friends are playing with me.

I used my Dad's tools to try to fix the oven.
That didn't work.
I thought about taking it apart and putting it back together again, but that
would take too long.
To save Thanksgiving, I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
I decided to take the turkey to the park and cook it.
First I used the matches to start a fire in the pit.
Next I put the turkey on the fire.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred ten degrees and I cooked it for
twenty hours.
Before cooking I added salt and butter.
I served it with potatoes and carrots.
The turkey smelled good, looked delicious and tasted like meat.

Baylor                     Thanksgiving Dinner

My name is Baylor.
Every year we have Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.
My brother is annoying sometimes.
My mom helps in the kitchen.
My dad watches the football game.
My Grandma's house is cool!
It looks wild.
It sounds noisy.
It smells good.
It has a swimming pool.
The carpet is orange.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I tried to fix it, but I just flew backwards.
I took a match, it would not light.
I kept trying, I just lit my hair on fire.
Everyone felt sad.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First I stole my dad's lighter.
Next I put lighter fluid in it.
Then I threw it on the oven.
After that I lit it with the lighter.
Finally I flipped it.
I made sure the temperature was five thousand degrees and I cooked the turkey
for three hours.
Before cooking I added rice, corn and stuffing.  I served the turkey with
rice and pumpkin pie.
The turkey smelled good, looked disgusting and tasted delicious.

Beatrice              My Thanksgiving Turkey

My name is Beatrice.
Every year we have Thanksgiving at my home.
My Dad comes to my home and cooks chicken.
My uncle is cool.
My Mom makes potatoes.
My brother is cool and funny.
My half brother is funny and makes me laugh.
My house is clean.
My house looks like a medium house and it looks cool.
It smells like apples and it feels soft.
My Mom is watching Arnold and that is her favorite show.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I was in the kitchen fixing the oven while everyone was in the living room.
I told my uncle he had tools, but it didn't work.
So my uncle and I tried to fix it, but it wouldn't work.
I told my brother the oven was broken.
We tried so hard to fix the oven.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First I went to the park.
Next I went back home and got the charcoal and matches and I went back to the
park.
Then I ran and put the charcoal in the pit and lit the matches up.
After that I put the turkey on the stove.
Finally it was on the stove.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred three degrees and I cooked the
turkey for three hours.  Before cooking I added some stuffing.
I served it with pumpkin pie and vegetables.  The turkey smelled good, looked
shiny and tasted good.

Brandon        The Horrible Thanksgiving
                         That Turned Out Great

My name is Brandon.
Every year we have Thanksgiving at my Pepaw's house.
My Pepaw is there, he hugs me hard.
My Grandma is there, she cooks the turkey.
My dad is there.
He talks to people.
My aunt is there, she just talks. 
My Grandma's and Pepaw's house is big.
It looks like a two story house, but it's not.
It sounds like people golfing because my Grandpa lives next to a golf course.
It smells like coffee from the coffee pot.
It smells like gum balls and tea.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
My Grandma put the turkey in the oven.
The oven   didn't work.
Everybody was sad.
They were doing nothing.
I turned the knob a few times.
I shook it.  It didn't work.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First, I put the turkey in the BBQ and then it was almost done. Next, I was very happy, everybody was happy. Then I got the turkey out.  After that I set it on the table. Finally everybody started to look at it.
I made sure the temperature was seventy-seven degrees and I cooked the turkey
for one hour.
Before cooking I added stuffing, pepper and salt.  I served the turkey with
green beans, corn, rice and cheese.  The turkey smelled hot, looked big and
tasted delicious.

Casey  The Terrible Horrible Thanksgiving

Every year we have Thanksgiving in Tucson.
My Papa comes and Grandma is there too.
My little brother comes too, along with my Dad and Step mom. My Uncle Casey and Cousin Taylor come.
Taylor is five years old.  He rides a two wheel bike.
Casey is cool. My Step mom loves my Dad.
My little brother Cole can talk very good.
My Grandma's house is big.
It looks very very very nice.
It sounds like my little brother is playing in the playroom. I smell my Grandma's famous macaroni salad.  Yum, yum, yum! I can almost taste the macaroni salad.
Someday when I grow up, I will have a mansion, I hope.

First I went and got a turkey.
Next I went to my friend's house.
Then I asked them if I could use their oven.  After that I checked to see if
the oven worked.
Finally I turned on the oven.
I made sure the temperature was three hundred fifty degrees and I cooked the
turkey for four hours.
Before cooking I added stuffing, rice and corn.  I served the turkey with
mashed potatoes, salad, pumpkin pie and ice cream sundaes.  The turkey smell
ed great, looked yummy and tasted awesome.

My name is Chris.
Every year I have Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.
We eat a turkey with my Mom, my sister, my Grandma and my Grandpa.
My Grandpa plays baseball with me at the park.
Sometimes we play basketball too.

First I came up with a plan to cook the turkey.
Next I got a cooker to cook the turkey.
Then I cooked the turkey so my Mom was happy.  After that I was playing with
my sister until 5:00 PM.
Finally I saw football games with my Grandpa.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred eight degrees and I cooked the
turkey for three hours.  Before cooking I added pepper.  I served the turkey
with mashed potatoes, chips, salad, dressing and tacos.  The turkey smelled
like turkey, looked like turkey and tasted delicious.

My name is Dominic.
I am eight years old.
Every Thanksgiving my family comes to my house.
My brother and his friend come too.
My brother usually beats me up.
My aunt comes with her boyfriend.
My cousins come up.  Aunt Viv sometimes comes up.
My mom cooks the turkey.
My dad cooks the potatoes.
We eat turkey and mashed potatoes and we pick up the trash and dishes.  Then
we eat dessert.
The turkey smells good.
I looked at the turkey cooking.
After eating, I watch football.
I heard the crowd screaming.
Then we ate the turkey.
It looked good.
Then we ate ice cream.
Then we cleaned up and everyone went home.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I tried to fix it.
I kicked it.
I tried the handle one hundred times.
I smacked it.
I called the repair man.
The oven was broken.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan.  This is what I did.
First, I took the turkey and went to my neighbors house and asked if I could
use their oven.  Next I went to my house and took the turkey and went back to
my neighbors house and cooked the turkey.
Then I waited and waited and waited until the turkey was done.  I watched TV
while I was waiting.  Finally I took the turkey back to my house.
I made sure the temperature was nine hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey
for eighty hours.  Before cooking I added stuffing, salt and pepper, cooked
it and served it.  I set the table and everybody ate and watched football.  I
served the pumpkin pie with whipped cream.  Everyone ate the food and left.

Ellen             The Funniest Thanksgiving

My name is Ellen.
Every year my family goes to our cousin's house.
My Mom and Dad go too.
My big brother goes with us.
I smell turkey in the air.
My cousins live in a house that looks like a mansion.
My cousins have two dogs.
They are playful.
My cousins' names are Linze and Jered.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
My Mom and Dad were sad.
My Dad tried to fix it, but it was no use, it was broken.

First, I went to the Pet Store and bought fire breathing cats.
Next, I let the cats blow on the turkey.
Then I rolled the turkey around.
After that I got the turkey out of the fireplace.
Finally I put the stuffing in.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred eight degrees and I cooked the
green beans for two hours.  Before cooking I added pepper and salt.  I served
the turkey with meatloaf.  The turkey smelled delicious, it looked like
chicken and tasted like turkey.

My uncle is coming to my house on Thanksgiving Day.
My house is where we have Thanksgiving.
My uncle's name is Lalo.  He comes from California.

Every year we have Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.

First I went to North Carolina and got a fire breathing lizard.  Next I flew back home and told him to stay there. Then I opened his mouth and put too much hot sauce in his mouth. After that his face started to get red and blue. Finally I told him how hot and how long he needed to blow on the turkey.
I made sure the temperature was a bazillion degrees and I cooked the turkey for one thousand hours.  Before cooking I added lots and lots of stuffing.  I
served the turkey with ice cream and toppings.  The turkey smelled delicious.

Michael               The Killer Thanksgiving

Every year my family has Thanksgiving at my Nana's house and my Grandpa comes.
He is very nice.
I play with my cousins.
My Mom brings the turkey.
My Dad brings the gravy.

chicken, ribs, salad and juice.  I served the turkey with mashed potatoes. 
The turkey smelled good and it look delicious and tasted really good.

Every year we have Thanksgiving At Grandma's house.
My Grandpa is there.  He is fun.
My Grandma is there.
She cooks the food.
I smell food and it smells good too.

Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my Aunt Claudia's house.

uncle gives the claw to me.  It tickles and I laugh.  My cousin Zoe likes to
play soccer.  Katie, my cousin, dresses me up like a girl.
Billy lets me play his guitar.  Max tackles me.  Arin shows me how to do an
ole on my skateboard.  She is cool.
Joni's boyfriend is a rock star.

I served it with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and milk.  Before
cooking I added salt, pepper and stuffing.  The turkey smelled like turkey,
looked like a turkey and tasted delicious.

Every year we have Thanksgiving at my cousin's house.
My sister Alexa and I play with our cousins.
My Grandpa is my mom's dad.

Before cooking I added salt, pepper and some stuffing.  I served the turkey
with mashed potatoes, gravy, baked potatoes and pumpkin pie.  The turkey
smelled yummy, it looked delicious and tasted wonderful.

Tommy           Thanksgiving Surprise

My Mom makes the chili.
My sister is hungry for chili.
My Mom makes good chili.

My Grandpa likes chili and Dad likes chili too.

Trenton   The Greatest Turkey Of All

My name is Trenton.
Every year I have Thanksgiving at my Mom's house.
My Mom and I have dinner together.
My Mom's house is nice and clean because we are going to have dinner.
She is nice because she is a nice person.

for three hours.  Before cooking I added stuffing.  I served the turkey with
an ice cream float, potatoes and corn.  The turkey smelled good, looked good
and tasted better than I thought.  Finally I went to bed.
