The Hero Who Saved Thanksgiving

My name is Adam.
I celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.
I see lots of people.
Here are a few people.
My dad has a CD of his music and my mom is the one who makes Thanksgiving
right.
My grandma makes the turkey.
Don't forget my grandpa talks loud.
And last but not least, my sister! My sister's birthday is somewhere around
Thanksgiving.
Welcome to my house.
I love to celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.
I smell the smell of turkey filling the air...mmmmmmmm!
My house is perfect for Thanksgiving.

The table looks very nice.
It is very noisy.
My house is made out of bricks.
There is a lot of people.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken
because it was cold in the house.
This year Thanksgiving isn't going to be the same!
We know the cold was powerful against the heat.
How can we help Thanksgiving?
We all felt sad.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I gathered some candles.
Next I put them in the oven.
Then I asked my mom to light them.
After that I knew it would work. That much heat was too strong against the
cold.
Finally I shouted, "It's ready!"
I made sure the temperature was five degrees and I cooked the turkey for five
hours.
Before cooking I added butter and salt.
I served the turkey with salad, grapes and mashed potatoes. The turkey
smelled delicious and it looked so good I can eat it all. It tasted
scrumptious.
Everybody thanked me.
We had a splendid time.
We played so many games, I don't know how many games we played.

The Great Thanksgiving

My name is Aimee.
I celebrate Thanksgiving at my Great Grandma's house.
My Grandma always brings beans.
My cousin is always nice.
My mom usually brings the dog for a walk.
My dad is usually screaming at the TV.
When I walk in the house I smell turkey and pie baking.
I see the baby crawling on the floor.
I hear the TV.
It feels cozy.
My Great Grandma cooks the food.
My mom cuts the pie.
My dad sometimes falls asleep in front of the TV.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
My grandma started to cry. Everybody was miserable.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I took a knife and cut holes in the turkey to put a bar through. Then
I put the bar on two sticks. After that I got a match and started a fire.
Finally I got the turkey and spun the bar with the turkey on it.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey
for three hours.
Before cooking I added celery in it and spices in it.
I served the turkey with blueberry pie, sweet potatoes and cookies.
The turkey smelled good! The turkey looked good and tasted absolutely great.
After we ate dinner, we went to the school playground and played games.
Then we went back to my great grandma's house and ate pumpkin pie.
Later we played in the backyard.

Thanksgiving Dinner

My name is Alyx.
Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my home.
I see my mom, my dad, my brothers, my sisters and my uncle.
My uncle is nice to me.
My mom and my dad are nice to me too.
My house is big.
When I walk in, I smell turkey in the oven.
I see the pumpkin pie on the table.
There is a white and yellow tablecloth on the table.
I help my mom cook the turkey.
We always eat sweet potatoes and green beans.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I told my mom, my dad, my uncle and my aunt.
They felt sad because the oven was broken.
I looked in the oven.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I took some sticks and I put them on the pile. Next I got the rocks and put them in a pile. Then I put the match in the sticks. After that I let the fire cook the turkey. Finally I took the turkey off the fire.I made sure the temperature was three hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey for four hours.Before cooking I added stuffing and apples.I served the turkey with apple pie and pumpkin pie.
The turkey smelled delicious. It looked very delicious and tasted good.
Finally we went inside to eat the dinner.
We played games.
The games were fun.

The Best Thanksgiving Ever

Hi, my name is Cassie.
I am in gymnastics.
Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my mom and dad's house.
My grandpa makes dinner for Thanksgiving
When I walk in the house I smell turkey in the oven and pie on the table.
Sometimes the TV is on.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
Someone looked inside the oven.
My dad stuck his hand in the oven.
No hot air was coming out.
Everybody did not have a good time.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I took a bar and stuck it through the turkey.
Next I took some wood and took skinny sticks and made a fire.
Then I spun the stick that the turkey was on.
After that I had nothing to do, so I went inside and waited.
Finally I went outside and checked on it.
I made sure the temperature was ninety degrees and I cooked the turkey for
two hours.
Before cooking I added cornbread and cookies.
I served the turkey with stuffing.
The turkey smelled good. The turkey looked good and tasted great.
After we ate the turkey, we were all stuffed.
We all played Hide and Seek, Heads Up and Seven Up.
It was a blast!

The Cool Thanksgiving

My name is Chad.
We celebrate Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.
My Uncle Jason is funny and cool.
My Uncle Terry is cool too.
My mom is very cool.
My Uncle David, Aunt Diane, Aunt Trisha, cousin Chantel and Tressie go to my
Grandma's house on Thanksgiving Day.
My favorite relatives are Camryn and Gregory.
Aunt Peggy and cousin Vanessa live in the mountains.
Anthony is very annoying.
When I walk in the front door, I can see my family.
I can hear my friends and cousins.
My Grandma lives in Colorado where it is cold.
My Grandpa cooks the dinner.
He makes good spaghetti.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
Everyone was sad because the oven was broken.
This Thanksgiving was ruined.
Everyone wanted to leave if they didn't get any turkey.
The oven was broken for sure, but there's got to be some way to fix it.To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.First, I took a lighter and put it under the turkey.
I waited a long time until it was done.
I made sure the temperature was two thousand degrees and I cooked the turkey for twenty hours.
Before cooking I added stuffing, pepper and salt.
I served the turkey with green beans and peas.
The turkey smelled like chicken, looked cool and tasted good.
After we ate the turkey, we had fun with my remote control cars.
We went skate boarding.
We also played cards and Monopoly.

My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my Grandmas house.
My Grandma is nice when we go to visit her on Thanksgiving.

When we went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for Thanksgiving everybody was
having a good time.

I like to go to her house.
My grandpa likes to work on the computer a lot.
My cousin Brittany plays with us.
My Aunt Bee helps cook the dinner.
My Mom helps with cooking the food and my Dad plays with us.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I looked at the oven and saw that the light was not shinning.
Then I told everyone that it was not working.
Everyone was sad.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I told my mom to light the barbecue.
Then I put the turkey on the barbecue.
I made sure the temperature was one hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey
for one hour.
Before cooking I added stuffing, salt and butter.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, salad, pudding,
cake and ice cream.
The turkey smelled good. It looked tan and tasted very good.
After we ate dinner, we made a fire in the fireplace.
Then we played games.

What A Disaster

My name is Daniel.
My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.
There are nine people at Thanksgiving.
One of them is my Uncle Jeff. He has two kids---one of them is Matthew, the
other one is Breanna.
The other one is Aunt Jody.
Uncle Jerry and Grandma Roof and Grandpa Dick are all there.
My Mom and Dad are there too.
Uncle Jeff and Uncle Jerry and my Dad are all brothers.
I don't like turkey so I eat macaroni and cheese.
I hear a football game going on.
I see that everybody else is not there, we are the first people because we sleep there.This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.I told my mom.
She turned on the knob.I felt the tray, it wasn't hot.
My mom started to cry.This Thanksgiving was a disaster.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I asked my mom if she would buy me a cannon. So she did. Next I put the turkey in the cannon and I pulled the cord. The cannon was broken. Then I pulled the cord again. It wouldn't work. Funny me. I forgot to light it,
so I did. After that it shot off. It almost touched the sun, but it didn't. The sun cooked the turkey. Finally I caught it. It was hot--very hot.The temperature of the sun was twenty thousand degrees and it cooked it in a minute.
Before cooking I added squash, jellyfish and pig.
I served the turkey with whale shark and hot dogs.
The turkey smelled like fish. It looked like a black bird and tasted fishy. After we ate my cousin and I played games.
I'm teaching my cousin to play chess.
We also watched TV.

The Oven and the Food

My name is Eric.
My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.
My Grandpa and Grandma come to our house.
My great Grandma comes too.
We have a good time.
Every year the food looks good.
I hear everybody talking about games.
I see Mom and Dad getting dinner ready.
I smell mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberries, pudding and chocolate cake.It feels like the turkey is soft when I chew it.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.I kicked the oven, but it still didn't work.
The four of us were sad.To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.First I got a spit. Next I got rocks.
Then I started the fire.After that I put the turkey on the spit.
I was happy. I made sure the temperature was twenty-four thousand degrees and I cooked the turkey for eight hours.
Before cooking I added salt, pepper and sugar.I served the turkey with eggs.The turkey smelled good, looked good and tasted yummy.
The turkey was good.
We had four turkeys.It was past our bedtime, so we went to bed after we ate dinner.

Mom likes to play football with my brother and me.

My Mommy's house is big.
When I walk in the door, I smell turkey, peanut butter, chili, salad and
cherry pie.
We drink apple juice and water.
We have fiestas every Thanksgiving.
When I walk in the door I see hockey on TV.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
I told my mom, my dad, my sisters and my brother.
My Grandpa tried to fix it.
It didn't work.
All the people were sad.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I took some sticks and I put them on the ground.
Next I put the turkey on the fire.
Then I lit the fire.
After that I waited and waited.
Finally I looked and looked.
I made sure the temperature was four hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey for four hours.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and apple cinnamon apple cider pie.
The turkey smelled good. I looked at it, it looked good and tasted
delicious.
We all went inside and had turkey.
The people were glad. We all played Monopoly.

My grandma was worried. The I told my grandpa and my grandpa was worried too. To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did. First I got wood and I put it in a square. Next I put some fire on the wood. Then I put some butter on the turkey and put the turkey on the fire. After that I flipped it. Finally it was done.
I made sure the temperature was ninety-nine degrees and I cooked the turkey for ten hours.Before cooking I added orange juice, butter,pickles and salt.I served the turkey with corn, ice cream, pepper, pickles, eggs and carrots.The turkey smelled good, looked good and tasted good too. After dinner my Grandma cleans up the mess.
Everybody talks and we all watch TV. Later on we eat the leftovers.
I play baseball outside with all my cousins.

My Problem At Thanksgiving

Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.
My aunt and uncle come each year.
My aunt is very very funny.
My uncle is funny too.
My cousins come each year too.

We all like to celebrate Thanksgiving.
When I walk into my house it feels cold and cozy.
I smell the smell of turkey, cornbread and banana bread.
We eat broccoli.
I smell stuffed turkey.
I see cornbread on the table.
I hear the turkey and the roast cooking.
I also see all my relatives that are there.
My house is a great place to be.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken.
It was a disaster! I told everyone.
They all were very very hungry and very very mad.
They all felt upset.
This year was not going to be the same.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I got a big long piece of wood and put it across a log. Next I put the turkey on one side and I got on the other side. The I jumped! The turkey flew up in the air. The heat from the sun cooked the turkey. After that I went inside and told the people. The people did not care. Finally I went outside and caught the turkey.
The temperature was two thousand degrees or more and it cooked the turkey real quick.
Before cooking I added salt and pepper.
I served the turkey with carrots and gravy.
The turkey smelled delicious, looked good and tasted great.
After everyone ate, we all played games. After that we watched the ball game. This year was not quite the same, but it was fun.

Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.

It was still broken.I looked in the oven to see if there was something in the oven. It was empty.To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.First I got some wood and put it in a circle.
Next I rubbed the sticks and started a fire.Then I made spears for everybody. After that we all put turkey on the spears.
Finally I put the spears over the fire. I made sure the temperature was sixty degrees and I cooked the turkey for two
hours. Before cooking I added stuffing and BBQ sauce.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, ham and pumpkin pie with a cherry on top.
The turkey smelled delicious. It looked really good to eat. It tasted good. After we ate dinner, we went to the park and played games.
Later we went to a movie that we all wanted to go see.

I found out it broke when it would not cook.

I made sure the temperature was three hundred fifty degrees and I cooked the turkey for one hour.

I served the turkey with noodles, corn, mashed potatoes with butter and pumpkin pie.
The turkey smelled delicious. It looked good and tasted delicious. After we ate dinner, we went golfing.
Then we wento to the park so my sister and me could play.

I made sure the temperature was five million degrees and I cooked the turkey for twenty-three hours.
Before cooking I added stuffing and orange juice.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes, apples, orange juice and ice cream with butterscotch.
The turkey smelled good, looked tasty. I tasted delicious.
Then we had fun. We played games.

I went to tell my Mom and my Dad.
They got mad, so did I.
I told my aunt and my uncle the oven was broken.
I told my Grandpa the oven was broken too.
They all got mad.
I didn't feel any heat, the oven was cold.
To save Thanksgiving, I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First, I dug up a hole.
Next I put rocks around the hole.
Then I put sticks in the hole.
After that I put two sticks up straight and one straight across.
Finally I put the turkey in the stick that was straight across.
I made sure the temperature was three hundred fifty degrees and I cooked the turkey for six hours.
Before cooking I added stuffing.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy.
The food smelled very good, looked very tasty and tasted very delicious. We ate our Thanksgiving dinner.
After dinner we had a lot of fun.
Everybody thanked me for saving Thanksgiving.

The Broken Oven

My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my house and it is fun.
I see my mommy. She is cooking turkey.
I see my brother Scott helping my mom.
My house is fun to play on Thanksgiving.
I see decorations everywhere.
I smell turkey cooking.
I hear a crowd all over my house.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken. All that came out was cold turkey.
We felt super sad. The fire was gone.
Thanksgiving was gone forever.
I didn't know what to do.
Everyone cried. Then I started to cry too.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I got the turkey. Next I threw it in a volcano. The I said, "Tasty." After that I gave everyone some turkey. Finally I was very fat. I made sure the temperature was ninety degrees and I cooked the turkey for two thousand hours.
Before cooking I added salt and pepper.
I served the turkey with dressing.
The turkey smelled delicious, looked great and tasted delicious. The turkey was going great. After we ate the turkey we played all of the sports and lots of other games. Then I said, "The end."

Thanksgiving

Hi, my name is Nicholas.
I am seven years old.
I enjoy Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house.
At Thanksgiving I see my aunt. She's athletic.
I also see my Uncle Rowdy.
He's the best part of my family.
My Grandma has a lot more people that come.
When I walk in my Grandma's house, I usually smell a dead turkey.
My Mom screams bloody murder about the Packers.
My Grandma always cuts out the wishbone.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken. My uncle crawled on the stove and opened the oven and looked in the oven. He said, "It looks ok."
Then my Mom said, "We're never going to get it fixed."
My Grandma cried. My Mom knew it got broken because the turkey was too fat. My friend thought that the turkey was alive.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I took the turkey out of the oven and put twenty-two thousand pieces of fire coral on it and left it there for two hours.
Finally I walked in the house and held the turkey in the air and said, "Dead turkey, dead turkey. "Before cooking I added vinegar, squash and hot milk. I served the turkey with jellyfish and a squid.
The turkey smelled like old milk from five years. It tasted like mud.
Soon I looked in the oven and I said, "The oven wasn't even on."
So then we played Hot Turkey instead of Hot Tomatoes.
We were happy.

Thanksgiving Is Ruined

My name is Sami.
My family and I celebrate Thanksgiving at my nana's.
I see my nana and my mom and dad are there.
My uncle and Aunt and my cousin are there.
Their names are Sharon, Claudia and Vanessa.
Vanessa is two. I like her.
My mom's name is Lynne and my dad's name is Sean.
He plays the guitar. He is good.
My mom works at a deli, it's called Leos. It smells.
My family is nice!
My mom and my nana make turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and bread. It is good.
When I come in, I always see decorations.
They are fun to look at. It smells like turkey.
It is a good surprise. I always hear my family talking.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken. It looked like we used it too much.
Everybody was sad. Thanksgiving was destroyed.
Poor turkey, poor people. All we were going to eat was bread. That's not good. I could hear their stomachs. It was loud. I was even hungry.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I got some tin foil. Next I put it in the sun in the backyard. Then I got the turkey. After that I put the turkey on the tin foil. Finally I put black rocks around it to get the sun.
I made sure the temperature was two hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey for four hours.
Before cooking I added stuffing and gravy.
I served the turkey with an apple in his mouth.
The turkey smelled like gravy. It looked like a stuffed turkey and tasted delicious.
Usually there are leftovers, but there aren't any this year.
My nana asked, "Anybody want dessert?'
Everybody said, "No." Everybody was full.

Thanksgiving Problem

My name is Sarah.
These are the people who go to my Grandma's house on Thanksgiving.
Aunt Maryann likes apples. Uncle George likes to fish.
Greg goes fishing too. My dad likes to go hunting.
My mom cooks. Grandma is a good cook too.
Grandpa has a bird. I love Thanksgiving at my house.
My Grandma's house smells like turkey.
It feels warm and hot because the fire is on. I hear the TV.
Dad is watching sports.
I see my Grandma cooking and mom too.
Grandpa is feeding the bird.
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken. I went into my mom and dad's room.
I quietly crept past mom and woke up Dad.
Dad went into the kitchen.
He took the grease out of the oven and it still didn't work.
My mom kicked the oven. It still didn't work and she broke her toe.
We were sad. I was starving. I didn't have breakfast.
To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did.
First I went and got some wood. Next I banged two rocks together. Then I lit the fire. After that I roasted the turkey. Finally it was done. I made sure the temperature as 22.8 degrees and I cooked the turkey for one half hour.
Before cooking I added stuffing, stuffing water and oil.
I served the turkey with corn,ham, roast beef and grapes.
The turkey smelled delicious. It looked brown and gold and tasted like stuffing. After dinner my family and I had dessert.
We ate apple pie. After that we went fishing.

Tia To The Rescue

My name is Tia.
Every year we celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.
I see my grandma who is very nice to me.
My grandpa is very nice and he builds things.
My mom's boyfriend's name is Tad.
Tad builds houses.
I see my brother and my brother is very nice and my brother loves me.
On Thanksgiving my mom cooks the turkey.
I set the table.
My mom and I buy cake.
My brother watches the baseball game and the football game.
We say our prayer at the dinner table
This year everything was going great until I figured out the oven was broken. I told my mommy and my mommy told my brother and my brother Tom said, "This is going to be a Thanksgiving disaster."
My brother tried kicking the oven, but just as always we have bad luck so it didn't work. To save Thanksgiving I had to come up with a plan. This is what I did. First I took some wood and took it outside. Next I went outside to find a metal box. The I took some rocks and made a circle. After that I started the fire. Finally I took the turkey and put it on the bar. I made sure the temperature was five hundred degrees and I cooked the turkey for fifteen hours.
Before cooking I added seasoning, butter, mayo and catsup.
I served the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy.
The turkey smelled burnt. It looked black and tasty. It tasted good---really really good. After I saved the day everybody was cheering for me. Then after that we played lots and lots of games and won a lot of prizes.
